Marsau - Francs-Côtes de Bordeaux 2019

With infinite delicacy and charm, the 2019 vintage is imbued with freshness and light. The wines flit from fresh fruit to floral harmonies. A rich blend of perfume, revealing notes of Morello cherries, violets and spice.

A lace so delicately gossamer-fine, it seems like silk. A subtle tableau, inspired by nature and reflecting the landscape.

Airy and subterranean, the multiple nuances of clay, fragrances from above and below the soil.

The wines are vivid and bright. The saline touch on the finish instills that oceanic feeling synonymous with being at one with nature.

The 2019 Marsau exhibits a lively and fresh bouquet with aromas of dark cherries, flowers, peony, rose, cassis and dark berries. On the palate, this wine is beautifully balanced with finely sculpted tannins and a juicy texture representing the essence of great Merlot growing on clay soils. This is a serious wine that illustrates the estate’s upward trajectory. It will offer a broad drinking window.

Composed of 100% Merlot, the 2019 Marsau is medium to deep garnet-purple colored. It struts out of the glass with assured notes of juicy black plums, blackberry preserves, tar, and cumin seed with touches of violets and underbrush. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is elegant and lively, with lots of bright, savory sparks to the restrained black fruits, finishing on a lingering mineral note.

Though its fruity aroma is precise, it hasn't been released entirely now. It tastes deliciously pleasant, coupled with compact tannins and saltiness towards the finish. Balance is tinged with delicacy. ??????,??????????????????????,???????????????????????????

The aromas of orange peel, citrus, fresh mushroom, bark, smoked meat and currants is fantastic. The palate is pure and focused with super-fine tannins and a long, long finish. Muscular and formed, yet agile, Takes the appellation to a new level. Partially aged in amphore. From organically grown grapes. Drink after 2025.

The 2019 Marsau is a very pretty Côtes dr Francs to drink now and over the next few years, while the sweet berry fruit remains vibrant. This attractive, mid-weight red is nicely done.

A svelte, seductive and seriously appealing 100% Merlot grown atypically on clay-dominant soils on one of the highest points of the Francs Côtes de Bordeaux. Wild strawberries, Morello cherries and subtle spices on the nose and palate, softly sweet, generous, round, plump, juicy and mouth filling, all harmoniously packaged and carefully balanced with freshness from start to finish. Complete and evocative with purity of expression. Seek it out.

This is very linear and tight with beautiful balance and finesse, showing blackberries, light walnuts and spices. Some dried soil, too. Medium-to full-bodied, racy and fine with length and focus. Subtle. Light salinity. This has amphora, large cask, and cuvée. Organically farmed.
