Marsau - Francs-Côtes de Bordeaux 2015
The 2015 vintage has proved especially favorable to the right bank appellations. More specifically, according to James Moleworth from the Wine Spectator, "Merlot planted on cooler clay and limestone spots fared best".
James Suckling shares the same view, stating that "Merlot-based wines are amazing quality and the highlights of my tastings of about 750 wines".
In this very context, thanks to its 14 hectares of deep clay, planted exclusively to Merlot, Marsau produced in 2015 the best vintages in its history, with a very refined wine, fresh, abund with silky tanins. It is a truly profound wine, one of the very best examples in its category.
A regular over performer, Marsau is a CVBG exclusive.
