Chateau Lusseau is a tiny property of 2 ha located close to Chateau Monbousquet in AOC Saint Emilion Grand Cru. It is the family estate of Laurent Lusseau who is the technical director of Pavie, Bellevue Mondotte, Pavie Decesse, Monbousquet and Clos Lunelles for many years. During his fantastic career at Gerard Perse vineyards, Laurent Lusseau got exceptional scores from many journalists… among which not less than seven perfect scores (100/100) on Pavie and Bellevue Mondotte.

Juicy Bing cherries, blackberries, spiced wood, and tobacco leaf all drive the aromatics of the 2024 Château Lusseau. Medium-bodied and forward on the palate, it shows a plush, easygoing style, with solid tannins and good depth.

Rich cherries and mulberries as well as graphite on the nose. It shows some richness from this challenging vintage with chewy tannins and a flavorful, medium-length finish.

The 2024 Lusseau is noticeably deep in colour. The nose is a tad chocolatey, perhaps just a little pushed in the winery, and feels generic. The palate is creamy on the entry with soft tannins and toasty black fruit, but it feels dry and short on the finish.

The 2024 Lusseau is a plump, juicy Saint-Émilion. Plum, black cherry, mocha, espresso and licorice are all pushed forward. This tasty, approachable 2024 offers a good deal of immediacy and charm to match.
