Larrivet Haut Brion blanc - Pessac-Léognan 2023
Larrivet Haut Brion, a new era for this iconic wine estate. In 1987,
the Gervoson family purchased Château Larrivet Haut Brion, an iconic wine estate in Pessac Leognan. At that time, the vineyard covered 17 hectares and the park surrounding the Château extended over 13 hectares. 35 years later, the family has succeeded in restoring not only the unity of the vineyard but also the prestige of this former
"cru exceptionnel" from the Graves (Edition Ferret, 1898).
Today, the vines are spread over 75 hectares including 9 hectares of white grape varieties. The 12-hectare park surrounding the Château has been preserved. It has become a haven of peace and biodiversity.
The new technical team at the head of the estate includes Bruno Lemoine, Charlotte Mignon and François Godichon and performs very well. Here, every action is made to reveal the purest expression of the fruit: a precise viticulture, "Burgundy-style" vinifications and several ageing containers testing (barrels, amphoras, wine globe...).

Climatic conditions:
A very hot, humid spring favored strong growth, followed by an equally hot, humid summer and 2 heat waves at the end of August and beginning of September, which accelerated the start of harvesting.
Tasting notes:
Golden color, expressive nose of ripe Sauvignon, with yellow summer fruit, lemon and tangerine notes. Citrus notes emerge after the fruit, with aromas of citron and Buddha's hand zest.
