The 2020 Larrivaux, which was sent directly from the property, presents a very capable nose of brambly black fruit, mint, touches of white pepper and light undergrowth scents; it has unprepossessing charm. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle, pliant tannins framing crisp black fruit laced with dark chocolate and a hint of espresso. This should turn into a refined Larrivaux that will give around a decade’s worth of drinking pleasure.

The 2020 Larrivaux features a medium to deep purple-black color and notes of Provence herbs, fresh redcurrants, Bing cherries and black raspberries, plus hints of damp soil and oolong tea. The medium-bodied palate is a little lean and green, with appealing freshness to its credit, and it has an abrupt finish.

Très beau nez de fruits noirs, de cassis et de myrtille. Epices et fleurs à l'aération. Bouche veloutée, bien en place, un peu âtre de cheminée avec de l'allonge et de la puissance. Un très beau vin.
