Based on 79% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, it's not massive but shines for its overall balance and finesse. It’s going to shine for 15+ years.

The 2022 Larmande could be more complex and terroir-driven on the nose. It feels rather conservative. The palate is medium-bodied and sorbet-fresh with fine tannins and a touch of oak from the wood shaping the finish. Thus it should be given a couple of years in bottle but it will come good.

The 2022 Larmande is a very sexy wine. Floral, silky and medium in body, the 2022 is all finesse. Crushed flowers, sweet red cherry, cedar, new leather, spice and blood orange all meld together effortlessly. Larmande is, quite simply, exquisite.

Potent and perfumed on the nose. Clean and fresh, a really nice easy appeal to this, silky smooth, tannins are so well integrated and this has freshness. It's missing a touch more juiciness and flesh, but really delivers an elegant, charming glass of wine that is approachable even now.

Ruby red, a nudge off full extraction in terms of colour, gooseberry and cherry pit on the nose, unbalanced acidities that are pretty sharp on the finish, highighting red cherry fruits and the squeeezed tannic frame. Enjoyable lemongrass and slate texture.

The medium to full-bodied palate is soft and juicy with perfumed red and black fruit preserves and a long, fragrant finish. Nicely done!

Le bouquet de Château Larmande se distingue par sa pluralité et sa précision. Ainsi, il présente des notes de baies noires ainsi que des nuances de pivoines complétées par une touche de poivre noir. Caractère crémeux en bouche où le vin est doté d'une acidité structurante qui assure une certaine fraîcheur tandis que les tannins, bien intégrés, offrent de la vigueur. De très fins amers soutiennent l'expression aromatique de la finale, qui est légèrement saline de surcroît. Un vin qui se révèle lentement. Une belle réussite à en devenir.

This estate has been routinely delivering excellent quality, and the 2022 Larmande is no exception, yet it still remains somewhat under the radar. Offering up aromas of sweet wild berries, plums, licorice and rose petals, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, with a velvety attack that segues into a concentrated, vibrant core of fruit. It is sure to number among the best buys of the 2022 en primeur campaign.
