Jéroboam Amiral of Beychevelle - Château Beychevelle - St Julien 2009
The gestation of the 2009 vintage took place under climatic conditions particularly favorable to the vegetative cycle of the vine and to the maturation of the grapes. After a very sunny and very dry March, the first shoots appear in early April in a humid and cool climate. Flowering occurs in the last week of May in summer conditions. The estimated harvest potential is quite high. The veraison, very homogeneous, ends in August. The warm, sunny and dry days and the cool nights of September have particularly favored the good maturation of the berries. This 2009 vintage has many unique characteristics: the alcoholic degree is the highest ever obtained at the property. The polyphenols have never been so high, the amount of tannins is at a record level. But thanks to this beautiful acidity, the wine remains fresh
