The 2023 Gloria has a well-defined bouquet with a mixture of red and blueberry fruit, crushed violet and peony, quite Margaux-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with finely tuned tannins, quite fresh and vibrant, not a powerful Saint-Julien but this has developed more clarity and nuance during its élevage. Very fine.

Deep but also floral on the nose, with crushed violets, fine dark spices, morello cherries and blueberries. Fleshy, al-dente and almost full-bodied, with fresh, fine-grained tannins and a long, juicy and expressive finish with lots of blue fruit. A blend of 50% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot, 10% petit verdot and 5% cabernet franc. Drink from 2027.

Château Gloria hat den Cabernet Sauvignon schon immer zu seinem wertvollen Trumpf gemacht! Dies ändert sich natürlich auch im Jahr 2023 kaum. Das Bouquet ist geprägt von Frische, dunklen Beeren und einigen blumigen Nuancen, die durch eine Würze ergänzt werden. Der Wein überzeugt von Anfang an, gleich im Auftakt. Er positioniert sich klar, relevant und hat als Fokus kräftige, aber runde Tannine und eine strukturierende Säure, die für Temperament und Helligkeit sorgt. Ein saftiger, animierender und anhaltender Wein.

Cassis, violets, spicy wood, espresso, and a kiss of graphite all emerge from the 2023 Château Gloria, an incredibly pure, medium to full-bodied, ripe, balanced Saint-Julien. It shows the pure, elegant style of the vintage, has ripe tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great finish. This château hasn't put a foot wrong in some time, and they certainly did well in 2023.

The 2023 Gloria has a deep garnet-purple color. It is a little sluggish to begin, with notes of sauteed herbs, damp soil, and tar soon opening out to a core of stewed strawberries, plums, and cedar chest. The medium-bodied palate is chewy, with nice freshness and just enough savory-laced fruit, finishing a little short and firm.

Medium-bodied, elegant, ripe, forward, soft, and floral, with layers of sweet, black fruits, soft, ripe tannins, and a refined, uplifted character, this is already quite nice to drink, and with a few years, it is only going to get better. The wine is produced from 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2027-2043. 91-93 Pts.

The 2023 Gloria is bright, punchy and super-expressive. Red-toned fruit, crushed flowers, white pepper and mocha are nicely dialed up. this super-classic Saint-Julien delivers the goods. Best of all, it should be a great value.

The 2023 Gloria presents a deep purple hue. It has a succinct bouquet with black cherries, red plum and pronounced floral aromas that emanate from the Petit Verdot. The palate is medium-bodied with bright blackberry and raspberry fruit, quite a minerally Gloria with a more linear, stricter finish than the 2022, as you would expect. There’s also fine salinity here. This is a classy Gloria that just misses the panache of recent vintages (and of the 2023 Saint-Pierre).

Dark ruby colour, opaque core, purple reflections, brightening on the edge. Delicate- ly tobacco-like, a hint of cassis, dark wild berries, candied orange zest, an inviting bouquet. Taut, finely-meshed, red berryish, mineral and fresh, delicately leafy in the finish, a lively food wine.

An attractive effort, the 2023 Gloria offers up aromas of dark berries and plums mingled with subtle hints of violets and licorice. It's medium to full-bodied, taut and lively, with good depth and persistence. This blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet France is the third and final vintage of organic conversion at Gloria.
