This is an enjoyable wine, with luscious dark fruits and a ton of personality, but as during En Primeur, it struggles to fully balance the exuberance of the vintage. Enjoyable cumin, espresso and incense, short on the finish.

65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot Le bouquet de Glana affiche beaucoup de fraîcheur avant que celle-ci ne cède le terrain à des notes de graphite et de baies noires complétées par des nuances crayeuses et boisées. Dense et crémeux en attaque, le vin cumule puissance, sapidité et fraîcheur. Tout est cohérent, abouti avec une saine tension qui tempère la puissance présente et souligne la fraîcheur du vin, tandis qu'une fine austérité plébiscite l'expression aromatique de la finale. Quelle belle réussite ! 2028-2047 94/100

A nicely rich and powerful St.-Julien that shows notes of red pepper, graphite, ink and ripe currants. Full-bodied and chewy with piles of fine-grained, gritty tannins speaking for the bold structure. Long and tightly coiled. This should soften more in the next two to three years. Drink from 2026.

The 2022 du Glana is a soft, fruity Saint-Julien to drink over the near to medium term. Bright red berry fruit, spice, rose petal and blood orange all open nicely, framed by silky tannins.

Juicy and supple, lively and clean, a sense of nice energy to this though there's also some toasted spice and bitter herbal elements which are distracting. Starts off well and this has nice acidity but tannins narrow the finish a little and leave some astringency. Harvest 15-29 September. Yield of 32hl/ha. Ageing 12 months in French oak, 35% new. Tasted twice.

The 2022 du Glana is deep garnet-purple in color. There are slight notes of reduction to start before it charges out with vivacious notions of black raspberries, blackcurrant cordial, and stewed plums with hints of wild fungi, damp soil, and crushed rocks. The medium-bodied palate is plush and juicy, with loads of earthy nuances and good length.

Superbe bouquet qui met tant la fraîcheur du cabernet en valeur au travers de notes d'eucalyptus, de menthe poivrée et de cassis. Compact et harmonieux, le vin dispose de tannins qui assurent une puissance respectable. Ils sont idéalement complétés, ou contrecarrés, c'est selon, par une structure vive et rafraîchissante. Un vin classique, réconfortant et convaincant !

Medium-bodied, elegant, fresh, supple, and blackberries, leafy tobacco, and herbs with a touch of smoke are on the nose, and on the creamy, fresh, fruit-filled, elegant palate. This is a nice step-up with more concentration than you normally see in du Glana. Drink from 2025-2037.
