Expression ample mais mesurée, svelte et complète à la fois. Le détail aromatique de ce fruit distingué (floralité, épices, subtile touche chlorophyllienne) est inné. Très belle cohérence d’ensemble de l’échantillon, comme souvent un peu plus vif et serré que ces voisins. Dans ce millésime précoce et chaleureux, Gazin demeure fidèle à son style distingué, ce dont nous nous réjouissons.

Au nez, de vibrantes salves aigres-douces de myrtilles. En bouche, une minéralité saline et un croquant de baies sauvages, avec des tannins légèrement amers, qui n'ont pas encore le charme majestueux qu'on leur prédit dans quelques années.

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Rich nose with distinct fruit, ripe blackberries, blackcurrant jam, sweet elderberries, wild strawberries, mocha and dark chocolate, hints of vanilla and mild spices in the background. With some oxygen a discreet touch of violets appears in the background. On the palate rich with freshness and great elegance, the aroma of the nose is repeated on the palate. Very elegant, persistent and charming with great depth and length.

A quintessential Pomerol with its beautiful red and blue fruits as well as floral, earth, and sappy herb aromas and flavors, the 2020 Château Gazin is medium to full-bodied and has wonderful purity, ultra-fine tannins, and no hard edges. It shines for its purity and elegance and is just a classy, thrilling wine.

The 2020 Gazin, which contains no Cabernet Franc this year, has a wonderful bouquet of blackberry, raspberry, crushed stone and pressed iris petal scents, very focused and precise, that really whisks you down to Pomerol. The medium-bodied palate displays fine-grained tannins and a silver bead of acidity. Very sapid with a little more dryness on the finish than its peers, which gets the saliva flowing. Classic Pomerol through and through.

I love this, extremely classic Gazin, which has depth and pep, and a jaunty feel to the black fruits. The freshness keeps the core of this wine firm from beginning to end, as do the chewy tannins. This is not an exuberant vintage but at this particular estate it suits the personality because it is always fairly old school and classic. For the first time no Cabernet Franc in the blend, just Cabernet Sauvignon. A yield of 35hl/ha. No added sulphur during fermentation. Tasted twice, there are plenty of tannins here but it is highly successful.

Medium/full-bodied, elegant, fresh and luscious, the earthy, spicy plums, cherries and cocoa notes are all over the place in the nose and on the plush, albeit reserved palate presence. Give this 4-6 years and it should be an even better wine. 92-94

Deep purple-black colored, the 2020 Gazin rolls effortlessly out of the glass with upfront scents of baked black plums, stewed black cherries and mulberries, plus hints of spice cake, chocolate box and cracked black pepper. The medium to full-bodied palate has a solid backbone of firm, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness supporting the muscular black fruits, finishing savory.

Très beau nez d'iris, de fleurs, de mure et de cassis avec une pointe de truffe d'été. Quel éclat de fruits et quelle gourmandise ! En bouche, c'est rond, moelleux, frais, les tanins sont veloutés et la texture parfaitement équilibrée. Un beau vin qui se ressent tannique en finale et surtout aérien. Bravo !

Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Feine schwarze Waldbeerfrucht, ein Hauch von Lakritze und Brombeeren, ein Hauch von Nougat, feine Edelholzwürze. Saftig, reife Herzkirschen, rotbeerige Nuancen klingen an, seidige, reife Tannine, frisch strukturiert, gute Länge, schwarze Kirschen im Nachhall, gutes Entwicklungspotenzial.

This is really fantastic with so much intensity and focus. Firm, linear tannins frame the wine beautifully. Polished and fine. It’s full-bodied, yet tight and posed. Complex flavors of blackberry, black olive, mushroom and bark. Persistent finish. Best of the trilogy?
