Upon first sniff, the aromas seem somewhat closed, offering little more than hints of green pineapple and lemon without much complexity. Just as I pause to reflect, a familiar roundness, accompanied by a penetrating mineral note, floods in with overwhelming force. You can almost “hear” the friction between the metallic threads as it brushes across your palate. Clearly, the focus of Fleur Cardinale Blanc is not on its aromas, but rather on its taut and powerful texture. If you are fond of white wines that take time to reveal their charm, the 2024 vintage is definitely worth trying.
