Fine Hennessy Cognac 40 °
The cognac distillery was created by Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer engaged in the army of Louis XV. The Prince of Wales, future George IV of Great Britain, is a connoisseur of cognac. He asks Hennessy to create a "very superior old pale" brandy. Since then, the abbreviation VSOP - Very Superior Old Pale - is a reference used by the entire sector. The legendary "ax à point", the coat of arms of the house, refers to its founder Richard Hennessy, who became a French citizen after 12 years in the service of the French army. In 1865, Maurice Hennessy, great-grandson of founder Richard Hennessy, awarded stars based on the quality of cognac and gave birth to Hennessy Three Star Cognac, now known as VS (Very Special). This classification is quickly adopted by all brands of cognac.
