Expressive and enticing, with a showy core of loganberry, mulberry and black currant fruit flavors that meld nicely, picking up singed alder, sanguine and tobacco notes along the way. Reveals warm earth that spills in on the finish, along with a violet echo. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Best from 2027 through 2037. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 8,000 cases made, 1,500 cases imported.

A terrific effort from this Margaux château, the 2020 Château Dauzac has a plump, medium-bodied, rounded style that gives it plenty of accessibility even today. Ripe black cherries, currants, smoked tobacco, and chocolate notes define the aromatics, and it has supple tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and outstanding length. I'd happily drink a bottle today, but it will evolve for 15+ years or so.

Lush, plush, polished and creamy, this gem is packed with black cherries, chocolate, espresso, blackberries, smoke and violets. Full-bodied, long and rich, the fruit really lingers from the mid-palate through to the finish. Drink from 2025-2050.

Raspberries, currants, linden flowers, gardenias, magnolias and elderflowers describe the sensory profile of this young, vibrant expression made in Margaux. Medium bodied, biting tannins and a juicy, intriguing finale. Beautiful from the start. Drink now or hold.

The 2020 Dauzac is a rich, heady Margaux. Jammy dark fruit, chocolate, new leather, licorice, spice and lavender saturate the palate. Readers should expect a flamboyant, opulent wine. There is certainly plenty to like. I must say, though, the heavy bottle is completely out of touch with today's world.

The 2020 Dauzac has an impressive bouquet, very well defined, taut and linear, pure blackberry and blueberry fruit mixed with subtle pressed violet and incense aromas. The oak is deftly integrated here. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, fine tannins, just a light herbaceous note towards the finish with a marine-infused aftertaste, black olive compote and brine. This is a well-crafted Margaux that should age very well in bottle.

This has enticing aromas of dried violets, chocolate, oyster shells, bark, blackcurrants, black plums and cloves. There’s plenty packed into a medium body, with ultra-fine, creamy tannins enveloping a perfumed core of black fruit. So creamy and caressing. 72% cabernet sauvignon and 28% merlot. Drink from 2025.

A heady, opulent Margaux, the 2020 Dauzac is loaded with inky dark fruit, crème de cassis, chocolate, lavender and sweet spice. This is an especially flamboyant style, but it works. There is not much subtlety here, that is for sure!

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Refined nose with charming fruit, fresh blackcurrants, ripe eldeberries and mulberry jam, hints of mild spices and cocoa in the background, very elegant with subtle oak. On the palate ripe tannins, fine acidity, juicy berries and hints of ripe plums. An elegant wine with freshness and excellent length.

Lots of earthy red and black fruits, cedarwood, flowers, and chocolaty oak define the nose of the 2020 Château Dauzac. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has ripe, polished tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a beautiful texture. This is a quintessential, elegant, already complex Margaux that should drink nicely right out of the gate yet evolve for 15+ years.

The 2020 Dauzac has a harmonious black cherry, boysenberry and cedar bouquet, touches of iodine and violets emerging with aeration; this nose has a lot of panache. The palate is medium-bodied and quit dense, offering supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity and superb mineralité and breeding on the finish, which is almost pixelated in style. This is an outstanding Margaux from the Dauzac team, one that punches above its weight.

An attractive welcoming nose, plenty of bright perky fruits with floral peony and rose aromatics. Still clear austerity in the tannins but wrapped up with balance, classicism and elegance. Feel some bounce through the tannins here, with the emphasis on a cool blue rather than ripe black side of the fruit. A yield of 47hl/ha. Ageing for up to 16 months.

Dark in color, the wine is filled with flowers, blackberries, smoke, violets, licorice and earthy aromas. Lush, elegant, polished, sweet fruit fills your palate and leaves you with hints of bitter cocoa and supple textured, dark cherries in the finish. 92-94

The 2020 Dauzac is a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot, aging in French oak barriques, 66% new. The alcohol is 14%. Deep purple-black colored, it sashays out of the glass with lively, carefree scents of kirsch, black raspberries and blackcurrant pastilles with hints of dried Provence herbs, graphite and damp soil, plus a waft of tobacco. The medium-bodied palate maintains a bright crunchiness to the fruit with just enough acidity and well-managed, approachable tannins, finishing with an earthy lift.

A full-bodied red with ripe-berry, chocolate and walnut character. Soft, integrated tannins and a flavorful finish. I like the way that the tannins fold beautifully into the wine, so that you hardly sense them.

Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.
