Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 La Dame de Bouärd offers up notes of Morello cherries, preserved plums and fruitcake with hints of espresso, forest floor and dried Provence herbs. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a sturdy foundation of chewy tannins and just enough freshness to support the generous baked berries flavors, finishing with a peppery kick.

The 2019 Dame de Boüard, the estate's best Merlot, is a powerful, structured wine. There is plenty of potential here, but we will have to see where the 2019 ends up at the end of élevage. Today, the darker, more virile side of Merlot comes through in both the wine's dark flavor profile and incisive tannins.

Always a high quality, charming wine, the 2019 La Dame De Boüard is the entry-level wine from Coralie de Boüard. Revealing a healthy ruby/purple color as well as fresh, lively notes of black cherry and blackberries, violets and spice, it's medium-bodied, has a balanced, silky texture, good mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It's not a blockbuster, but it shines for its terrific drinkability and elegance.

Rouge grenat dense. Bouquet complexe, de bonne intensite´, aux notes de myrtilles et d'e´pices. Touche mine´rale avec un peu de graphite. Caracte`re friand et le´ge`rement cre´meux en bouche. Belle symbiose entre la finesse des tannins et la tension de la structure. Dame de Bou¨ard a du caracte`re et de l'e´le´gance ! 2023-2032
