The 2021 Croix-Mouton has a slightly herbaceous nose, though it is certainly not green. The palate is medium-bodied with an oaky entry and some strong wood tannins that just dry out the finish a little.

Vom Barrique geprägt, frisch, rotfruchtig und leicht krautig in der Nase. Im Gaumen saftig, zeigt merklich Tannin, diese sind leicht klebrig, die Frucht kann sich hier nicht durchsetzen, endet trocknend. Hoffen, dass der Ausbau mehr Schliff bringt. (Verkostet im April 2022. Dourthe)

Bel éclat de fruits noirs avec une petite pointe boisée, grillée et des notes florales à l'aération. Juteux, frais, un beau moelleux pour un vin très frais et diablement gourmand. Belle bouteille.

A solid performance from this humble appellation, the 2021 Croix Mouton exhibits aromas of sweet berries, spices and licorice, followed by a medium-bodied, fleshy and atypically rich, generous palate. It's a blend of Merlot with a mere 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.
