Round and sweet at the beginning, and turns vigorous and strong on the finish. The high acidity of the 100% Sauvignon (including 4% Sauvignon Gris) and the clay-limestone soil effortlessly shape up the whole body of the wine. This powerful wine gives out fresh fragrances of bergamot and white peach in the mouth, and ends with the characteristic saltiness of the Couhins white. The 2021 Couhins Blanc exhibits aromas of crisp green apple, pastry cream and confit citrus, followed by a medium to full-bodied, chalky and incisive palate. As usual, this overperforming estate from clay-limestone soils has produced a white wine that punches above its weight.
