The Grand Vin 2022 Château Cos D'Estournel Blanc is similarly light gold-hued and is based on 74% Sauvignon Blanc and 26% Semillon. Lots of pear, white flowers, crushed citrus, and subtle salty nuances all shine here, and it's medium to full-bodied, rich, and layered, with a great finish. It's cut from the same cloth as the Pagodes yet brings a touch more precision, vibrancy, and length.

The 2022 Cos d'Estournel Blanc has a delineated and focused bouquet with limestone, Granny Smith, grapefruit and beeswax touches. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity, though it is the texture that is most appealing. Again, it is a little waxy but with endearing harmony and a subtle spicy residue on the aftertaste. There are no fireworks—it's just a fine, dry white Bordeaux.

This has a layered nature with pear drops, cooked apples, lemon meringue and green mangoes. It’s full-bodied but fresh and vivid. Chalky and stony. Some seashell undertones. Fruity and satisfying at the end. Drink or hold.

Green apple, grass, soft floral touches, some orange zest and fresh pineapple. Electric and thrilling, this is sharp, agile, sweet, tangy and salty - a gorgeous combination of fresh citrus fruits and peach flesh with flint and wet stone edges. Lovely direction and focus and still such depth on the mid palate which some are lacking. Has appealing orange, lemon, peach, pear, apple fruit, juicy friendliness and yet this has persistence from start to finish that is so captivating and electric. Round, deep, sensual, rich and opulent but not heavy, retains its firm structure but with a delicious lemony sugary brightness that just lifts the palate and keeps the attention. A brilliant white wine, just so enjoyable from the moment it touches the palate, widening, expanding, deepening and delighting. 4.21 total acidity, 3.21pH.

Le bouquet du Cos d'Estournel blanc évoque d'entrée une notion de fusion, de symbiose entre tout ce qui peut être bon dans le Sauvignon et le Sémillon. Entre des nuances de feuilles de thé, de poivre blanc, de poire, de pêches blanches et de citrons, il y a de quoi égayer le nerf olfactif ! L'attaque se veut ample mais néanmoins saline et vive. Il y a donc du monde, mais trié sur le volet avec pour effet de créer une exceptionnelle symbiose entre largeur et énergie. Le tout est finalisé par du fruit et de la salinité. Une sorte de Bull's Eye en résumé, ou en plein dans le mille !

Even more impressive, the 2022 Château Cos D'Estournel Blanc is 74% Sauvignon Blanc and 26% Sémillon brought up all in used oak. A focused, pure, seamless white, it has obvious minerality in its lemon and lime fruits as well as mint and leafy herb nuances. Hitting 13.4% alcohol with a pH of 3.2, it's going to benefit from a year or three of bottle age and drink beautifully over the following decade at least.

The 2022 Cos d’Estournel Blanc is gorgeous. Rich and layered, the 2022 deftly balances the natural intensity of the year with notable texture. Lemon confit, marzipan, white flowers, mint, tangerine oil and white pepper are some of the many notes that emerge over time. More than anything else, it is the wine’s balance that is of note. Drinking window : 2025-2030
