The 2020 Clos Marsalette Blanc is an attractive, charming white that nicely balances the richness of the vintage with a good bit of energy to keep things in check. Lemon confit, white flowers, marzipan, spice and a touch of oak all meld together effortlessly. This suave, open-knit dry white is a delight to taste today. It will drink well upon release.

The 2020 Clos Marsalette has a seductive nose with background scents of tropical fruit (guava, pineapple) and apricot, well defined and neatly integrated with the oak. The palate is balanced with a dab of sour lemon on the entry and moderate weight. More saline than anticipated given the growing season, leading to a bright, zesty finish. Enjoy this over the next 7–10 years.

Joli nez de poire Williams, de fleurs de printemps, un peu verveine citronnée pour un bouquet frais et délicat. Bouche charnue, ronde, très poire avec une réelle fraicheur. Le boisé ressort légèrement en finale. Vin de plaisir.

Helles Gelbgrün, Silberreflexe. Mit einem Hauch von Vanille unterlegte feine gelbe Tropenfrucht, zart nach Mango, etwas Ananas und Blütenhonig. Mittlerer Körper, saftig, frischer gelber Apfel, finessenreich strukturiert, ausgewogen, salziger Nach- hall, bereits gut antrinkbar.
