Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Clos Grangeneuve reveals a good intensity of pure blackberry and raspberry notes, plus suggestions of bouquet garni, iron ore and woodsmoke, with a touch of truffles. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly styled and refreshing, delivering crunchy red and black fruits with compelling savory accents and a soft texture, finishing with a lively lift.

The 2020 Clos Grangeneuve is a soft, fruity Pomerol that will offer a good bit of early appeal. Sweet red berry fruit, blood orange, mint and spice all open in the glass. The 2020 is not especially complex, but it offers a good bit of immediacy. The only thing it is missing is a bit of mid-palate depth.
