The second wine of La Gaffeliere, the 2019 Clos La Gaffeliere has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and bags of character all its own, featuring notes of redcurrant jelly, raspberry pie, Black Forest cake and underbrush with wafts of bouquet garni and cracked black pepper. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers plenty of juicy red and black fruits with lovely herbal sparks and an approachable texture of rounded tannins, finishing with enticing freshness.

The 2019 Clos La Gaffelière is a very pretty, nuanced wine laced with bright red cherry fruit, blood orange citrus, and floral overtones to match its mid-weight, easygoing personality. Clos La Gaffelière, the estate's second wine, emerges from the lower slopes of the property.

It has plenty to love and is ideal for drinking over the coming 7-8 years.

The 2019 Clos La Gaffelière is very focused and pure on the nose with vivacious blackberry, Morello cherry and crushed iris. It needs a bit of encouragement but is worth the patience. The palate is medium-bodied with grain tannins. A more "masculine" and structured Saint-Émilion with a finely proportioned saline finish. Good potential.

A medium-bodied red, offering deep, pretty fruit with walnut, wet-earth, mushroom and chocolate character. It’s full-bodied with juicy fruit at the end. Beautiful depth to this.
