Always good, the 2022 Château Clément-Pichon is medium ruby-hued with a juicy, upfront nose of red and black fruits, sappy spring flowers, roses, and cedary herbs. This medium-bodied, elegant, juicy, incredibly satisfying, and balanced Haut-Médoc is perfect for drinking over the coming 8-10 years.

The 2022 Clément Pichon has a delightful bouquet with blackberry and cranberry fruit aromas, good intensity and well-integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied and quite citrus-fresh, with edgy tannins and a bright, lively finish. Less heavy and oaky than previous vintages, this is a Haut-Médoc that has been going in the right direction in recent vintages.

The 2022 Clement Pichon is an attractive Haut-Médoc to drink now and over the next decade or so. Floral and savory notes are nicely lifted in the glass. Medium in body, with fine persistence and energy, the Clement Pichon has plenty to recommend it. The fruit profile is on the riper side, and yet the 2022 is very much on the understated side structurally.

Smooth and supple, juicy and bright, forward and really smooth on the palate. Succulent strawberry and cherry fruit has a lovely high acidity offset by firm tannins and an appealing stony saltiness. Mouthwatering too, this will be great with food, for early drinking and great approachability. A yield of 22hl/ha. Ageing 12 months, 40% in oak barrels, 57% new, 43% one wine and 60% in stainless steel. Gwen Lucas director, Yann Monties technical manager, Julien Viaud consultant.

Deep crimson. Intense dark chocolate, dark cherr, blackcurrant aromas with nougat, vanilla notes. Fresh inky deep wine with lovely ripe dark berry, blackcurrant pastille flavours, fine gravelly/ al dente tannins, and well balanced vanilla notes. Finsihes chalky firm and minerally. (Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc blend)

Tobacco, mint, currants, smoke, and licorice open the nose. On the palate, the wine is fresh, sweet, bright, and crisp, with lift and fresh flavors in the finish. The wine blends 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2025-2038.
