Mittleres Goldgelb, Silberreflexe. Reife Pfirsichfrucht, Lanolin, unterlegt von etwas Blütenhonig, kandierten Orangenzesten und etwas Karamell, ein Hauch von weißem Nougat. Feine Holzwürze am Gaumen, wieder zart schokoladig, harmonisch und bereitsb gut entwickelt, süße Tropenfrucht im Abgang, zeigt Länge und Reifepotenzial. (2020 - 2050)

Suduiraut a pour habitude de démontrer sa subtilité au travers de sa puissance… et ça c'est un sacré défi ! Imaginez-vous en train de courir un marathon et, parallèlement, vous faites de l’haltérophilie tout en souriant aux photographes ! Et bien Suduiraut est comme ça ! C'est un marathonien musclé et opulent ! Le bouquet est intense et complexe. En bouche il y a du gras, de l'ampleur et de la fraîcheur. Le caractère aromatique gagne en intensité le long du palais et est idéalement soutenu par la structure acide en fin de bouche. Longue finale. Un très grand Suduiraut !

The 2018 Suduiraut has a gorgeous bouquet with scents of acacia honey, dried mango, a touch of quince and tangerines, all nicely defined if not quite as compelling as the previous vintage. The palate is viscous on the entry, the fruit very pure and sensual, although perhaps the growing season denied Suduiraut the ability to make a really complex and intellectual Sauternes, despite their best efforts. It is a very refined and classy Suduiraut, though not one that I feel is guaranteed a place amongst the estate's best.

Pineapple, apricot, cashews, vanilla, honey, almond butter and butterscotch create the sublime perfume. On the palate, which is where this wine needs to be, the wine is sweet, fat, ripe, palate filling and racy, with the right amount of acidity and honeyed fruit keeping everything in balance. This is the only vintage in the history of the estate made from 100% Semillon.

This has lots of concentration and mushroom and spice character. Plenty of botrytis. Dense and flavorful finish. Big wine for the vintage. Five hectoliters a hectare and half went into the second wine.

Quel bouquet et quelle complexité ! Amandes grillées, fleurs d’acacia, champignons frais, abricots et pêches de vigne. Au palais le vin est compact, friand, et suave. Très bel équilibre avec un bon ratio entre l’alcool et la structure acide alors que la douceur est plus discrète mais, en fait, en parfaite balance avec l’ensemble. Ce Suduiraut vieillira bien mais on pourra déjà l’approcher dans sa jeunesse… c’est bien aussi! Une belle réussite et le résultat de beaucoup d’efforts, de passion et de savoir ! Bravo à toute l’équipe. 2025-2048

This has a fairly concentrated core of dried apricot, peach and mango flavors wrapped with almond and ginger cream notes. Ample marzipan detail coats the long finish.

Barrel Sample. Low yields from a late harvest in Sauternes have produced a wine with an orange marmalade flavor, lined with citrus acidity and a core of rich botrytis. Made from 100% Sémillon, there is great acidic lift in this intensely rich wine.
