Vinous

The 2017 Sociando Mallet offers quite a bit of character and personality. In this tasting, the 2017 comes across as quite ripe and dense. Black stone fruit, chocolate, new leather, licorice and spice are packed into this potent, richly constituted Haut-Médoc. The 2017 is not exactly subtle, but it does pack a serious punch in a hearty yet pleasing style.
