Château Roumieu - Sauternes - 2015
Château Roumieu is a family property, handed down from generation to generation, since the beginning of the 18th century. The name "Roumieu" comes from the name of one of the parcels; it means a place of passage of the pilgrims of Saint-Jacques de Compostela, from where the presence of a scallop shell, emblem of the Castle, on the label. The wines of Château Roumieu are placed in the tradition of Sauternes de garde which can be enjoyed from an early age in order to appreciate the wide variety of fruit flavors or to evolve over the years. Aromas of dried fruits, flowers (acacia or linden), citrus fruit, peaches, pineapple and roasted grains are revealed. The foie gras of the south-west and the most refined desserts will be the best stooges of this Grand Vin de Sauternes.
