This is quite a dry and tannic wine, but it has lovely fruit, and the tannins only become a bit dominant on the crisp, lemony finish. Give it time to open. Better in 2019.

The 2014 Le Prieuré is fine and elegant, but also lacking in depth. Expressive in its aromatics, the 2014 offers good potential, but that never comes through on the palate, where the wine lacks depth and intensity. This was much more exciting from barrel. Tasted two times.

The effects of the new Latour partnership is evident. Beautifully textured with a really fine grain of tannin. Minerality but not exaggerated. Builds to a long, fresh finish. Extremely appealing. 2023-2035

The 2014 Le Prieuré is rich, powerful and intense, with notable concentration and a real sense of vibrancy. Smoke, tar, licorice, blue fruits and leather are some of the notes that add complexity through the finish. This pliant, super-expressive St.-Emilion hits all the right notes, with lovely balance and fine-grained tannins that round things out nicely.

Medium-bodied with a touch of oak among the fresh plum notes, this wine is soft, forward and easy to drink. The new partnership with the owners of Chateau Latour certainly made a difference as this is one of the best vintages from this estate in years. 89-91 Pts

First vintage with Château Latour as a partner. Dark and dense. Solid fruit extract. Tannins powerful but honed. Firm, persistent finish. Ageing potential. Drink: 2020-2030 (89)

Limestone, south facing. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. Dark cherry red. Slightly leafy dark plum but has a floral perfume too. Fresh, dry and relatively light on the palate. Very digestible and for relatively early-drinking pleasure. The fruit is a bit little light in the middle but it has been sensitively made and is in balance. (JH)  Drink 2018-2026

Some dark fruit with firm tannins and a lemon peel undertone. Medium body, firm tannins and a fresh finish.

Features plum sauce and raspberry pâte de fruit notes that stay refined, with subtle structure guiding the finish while hints of sandalwood and tea weave through.Shows a touch of wood for now, but should soak that up easily enough.
