(50 Merlot, 47 Cabernet Sauvignon, 3 Petit Verdot) | 70% new oak | 14% alc.
Lascombes continues its run of rewarding wines with a rich, hedonistic offering with a lot of oak used here and also a decadent, chocolaty texture. There is a dry finish and some tannin here which shuts down the fun, but this will soften and you will be left with a nice, pliable, billowy wine with superb red and black cherry fruit and lovely, tart acidity. 17.5+
