The 2018 Château Les Grands Chênes was bottled in April 2019. It has an attractive, floral bouquet with black cherries and blueberry fruit. Here the new oak is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, very smooth in texture with a thick veneer of vanillary of new oak, but there is plenty of fruit underneath. Very seductive.

Deep in color, the wine resonates with dark black cherries in the nose and mouth. Full-bodied, round, forward and richly textured, the finishes with dark, red fruits, licorice, espresso and bitter chocolate in the end note. The wine was made from 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 les Grands Chênes opens with scents of crème de cassis, baked cherries, herbs and earth with tilled soil notions. The palate is full-bodied, firm and grainy with muscular fruit and a long, earthy finish.

Lovely red with currant and berry aromas and flavors and just a hint of walnut. Full-bodied yet bright and vivid. Delicious fruit and firmness. Shows depth and tension. One of best ever.
