Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Candale opens with a cedar and spice box-laced nose over a core of cassis, baked black plums and mulberries plus a waft of cigar box. Medium-bodied and firmly textured with ripe, grainy tannins, it gives a good fruit core and well-played freshness, finishing long.
