Chapuis, Corton Charlemagne Blc - Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2022
Domaine Chapuis relies on 170 years of family tradition and is located at the foot of the Corton hill in Burgundy. Claire and her brother Pierre represent the 6th generation. Since 2018, they manage the estate alongside their parents, Maurice and Anne-Marie. The estate has been passed on from generation to generation since 1850. Everything started when Pierre Pavelot bought the first vineyard plot of one hectare plus 0.60 hectares of Charlemagne with his brother.
The vineyard spreads over 11 hectares in Côte de Beaune around the Corton hill, with 8 Village, Grands Crus and Premiers Crus appellations, both red and white.

Located between 280 and 330 meters of altitude, the Corton Charlemagne is ideally exposed South-East which is rare along the Côte. This appellation is planted exclusively with Chardonnay on steep slopes of 20%. The marly limestone soils are rich in clay.
Corton Charlemagne is a powerful wine. It has length, complexity and reveals aromas of honey, flint stone and a touch of citrus.
