This is another sleeper from the back waters of Bordeaux, where some surprisingly good wines can be made, and consumers need to be aware of them. This property has been on a nice qualitative roll for a while, and this well-made 2013 exhibits saturated color and sweet blackcurrant and black cherry fruit with hints of cedar wood and incense. The wine is round, juicy and surprisingly pure and delicious. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.

Dark ruby.  Fresh aromas of dark berries, violet, graphite and cigar box.  Bright, moderately dense and fine-grained, with nicely ripe flavors of dark fruits, chocolate and oak.  Firm acidity and a solid tannic structure give this wine plenty of backbone and extend the fresh flavors at the back.  Not particularly complex, but better-balanced than most wines from the lesser Left Bank appellations.

Honest, a bit dry, but nice cassis fruit and a decent, medium-length finish. A little old-fashioned on the nose but forgivable.

Fine deep fruit and a classy, polished Médoc.

Bon volume tendre, tanin sans dureté, allonge sur les fruits rouges, bonne vivacité sans raideur.
