Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar 86-88 / 100 byIan D'Agatathe5/12/2012 Medium dark ruby. Aromatic nose offers fresh blackcurrant and lead pencil scents. Pure but austere on the palate, with black fruit and cedar flavors leading to a persistent finish featuring slightly gritty tannins. Medium dark ruby. TAST 15,5-16 / 20 by Bettane & Desseauvethe4/30/2012 Adroitement vinifié et porteur de tanins bien plus affinés que la moyenne, joli fruit, complexité digne d'un crus classé, il confirme le redressement du cru.
The Wine Cellar Insider 86-88 / 100 byJeff Levethe4/27/2012 From 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot, the wine will be aged in 33% new oak. This wine is lightly colored, medium bodied, and ends with fresh cranberry flavors. 86-88 Pts
Wine Advocate 86-87 / 100 byNeal Martinthe4/27/2012 There is a slight greenness on the nose of the Lanessan 2011 that is a little disjointed at this early stage. The palate is medium-bodied with dry, dusty tannins. It is foursquare, obdurate and earthy with a rather austere finish that will hopefully soften during élevage. Another bottle showed a little more fleshiness although it remained a little simple compared to its peers, though with a touch more elegance. Tasted April 2012
