Castle Haut Gros Caillou - Saint Emilion Grand Cru - 2013
Nature once again tested us in 2013: the bad weather conditions throughout the campaign kept the vineyard alert on a permanent basis. Relentless work controls health pressure and optimizes the balance between vegetative development and fruit feeding. With the arrival of the sun and heat in July and August, the ripening began in favorable conditions, leaving the berries time to refine. Always under the influence of a warm and humid weather at the end of September, the grape harvest began a little ahead of the forecast, in order to preserve the integrity of the Merlots and Cabernet Franc, in small quantity like most neighboring estates .
