Aromatic intensity, some dried herbs, milk chocolate, soy, vanilla and blackcurrants with soft floral scents too. Smooth and round, this has tons of concentration and pure red and black fruit with super fine tannins laced with liquorice and mint. I love the harmony here, lovely presentation and sense of ease as well as being full of flavour and intensity while still being delicate and finessed. A great wine, assured and confident and really dispelling the difficulties of the vintage. Chalky and mineral with liquorice spice on the finish. Cool and easy. Crisp and clean. 3.65pH - complexity of flavour and held by acidity.

Deep garnet-purple colored. Rolls out with expressive notes of black cherries and black raspberries, opening out to hints of charcoal, dried sage, and black pepper. The medium-bodied palate is silky and fresh with a good intensity of black and red berry flavors and a peppery lift on the finish.

Based on 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2024 Le Carillon D'Angélus sports a slightly deeper ruby hue as well as a beautiful nose of black raspberries and cassis intermixed with spice wood, graphite, and spring flowers. It's polished, medium-bodied, has fine tannins, and shows the fresh, crisp, yet elegant style of this château and vintage.

The purity of fruit is impressive with sliced cherries, strawberries and hints of walnuts and chestnuts. Medium-bodied, this has a creamy, integrated tannin structure and a fine, fresh finish. 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc.

The 2024 Le Carillon Angélus is aged in around 50% new oak. The remainder remained in stainless steel with some of the Cabernet Franc in old wooden vats that belong to Angélus. It has a perfumed, finely delineated and focused bouquet with violet-tinged black and blueberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. Tensile with touches of orange rind and Asian spices, there is decent concentration on the mineral-driven finish. Give this two or three years in bottle and it should give at least a decade's worth of drinking pleasure.

Creamy and resonant on the palate, the 2024 Carillon is laced with dark cherry/plum fruit, new leather, spice, menthol, espresso and a kiss of French oak. There's terrific textural depth and resonance here. I especially like the way the 2024 explodes on the back end. This is beautifully done.

Chocolate-covered plums, black raspberries, espresso, black cherries, and licorice fill the perfume. Vibrant, fresh, and juicy, the fruits are lively, soft, sweet, and have a touch of crushed rocks and stones that emerge at the end of the finish. With a year or so in the bottle, you can enjoy this wine 12 to 15 years after that. The wine blends 90% Merlot, with 10% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2027-2040.
