The 2023 La Cabanne has a pretty nose, perhaps just missing a bit of vigor, though well-defined, with dark berry fruit mixed with light smoky scents. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine acidity, nicely focused, with a sapid finish. Maybe it does not possess the length of the best vintages from this Pomerol estate, but it has plenty of freshness and vitality.

Excellent, with fine toast rendering warm-bread aromas to the fresh black currants and dark plums. Medium- to full-bodied and flavorful, with juicy blue fruit and fine-grained tannins. Long and crunchy in the finish. 100% merlot. Already approachable but better and more complex in two more years. Drink or hold.

Wunderschönes Bouquet von La Cabanne mit Nuancen von Orangenschalen, Malz, Brombeeren und Schwarzkirschen. Der Wein ist fein und charmant im Auftakt und zeigt einen linearen, präzisen Charakter. Die Tannine haben Grip und bieten eine gewisse Breite, während sie gleichzeitig Kraft verleihen. Ein Wein, der sich auf einem Drahtseil bewegt, wie ein Seiltänzer. Er schwankt zwischen der leichten Seite und der Dichte der Tannine, aber er schafft es vor allem bis zum Finale, ohne seine Ausstrahlung in der Mitte des Gaumens zu vernachlässigen. Ein einladender, fleischiger, verführerischer und dennoch kerniger Wein!

All Merlot, the 2023 Château La Cabanne is rock-solid, with a beautiful red, blue, and black-fruited profile that carries classic lots of floral, menthol, and spicy nuances. It's medium-bodied, has a supple, elegant mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. I love its overall purity, complexity, and freshness, and it's going to shine with just a few years of bottle age.

The 2023 La Cabanne, 100% Merlot, is a soft, fruity Pomerol to drink over the near and medium term. Crushed flowers, spice and bright, red-toned fruit are nicely pushed forward in this charming, open-knit Pomerol. All the elements are very nicely balanced. Silky tannins wrap it all together in style.

The 2023 La Cabanne, which contains no Cabernet Franc this year and matured in 55% new oak, is well-defined on the nose: blackcurrant, raspberry, sous-bois and cherry liqueur. There is a tad of overripeness here, but I think that will be subsumed during the remaining élevage. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and a keen line of acidity. It’s harmonious, with a bright, citrus-fresh, white-pepper-tinged finish that lingers—worth seeking out, as this is always good value.

The 2023 La Cabanne is another strong effort from this property, offering up aromas of cherries and raspberries mingled with notions of orange rind, licorice and spices. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and supple, it's rich and charming, with good mid-palate depth and density.
