So fresh and aromatic with chocolate and flowers like violets. Ovaltine. Orange peel. Medium- to full-bodied with fine tannins and focused structure, with a linearity and energy at the end. Lightly dried fruit. Second wine. From organically grown grapes. 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc.

The 2020 Benjamin de Beauregard offers a mixture of red and black fruit, nicely defined even if not amazingly complex. The palate is medium-bodied with a tangy entry, quite peppery in style, balanced with just a little austerity on the finish. But this is a perfectly serviceable Deuxième Vin.
