WEATHER CONDITIONS

The mild and rainy winter of 2018-2019 allowed precious groundwater reserves.
The spring weather was good for the vines’ growth although it was slowed down in April.
The summer of 2019 will be remembered as one of the hottest and driest summer
since 1900. It offered ideal weather conditions for an homogeneous veraison.
HARVESTS
Harvests spred over 2 weeks, dictated by beneficial rainfalls that both hydrated and stimulated the vines. As a result, the harvested grapes were well-balanced and concentrated.

This is full and plush for an Haut-Medoc with medium to full body. Lots of blackberries and fresh herbs with redcurrants, too. Chewy, but polished. Give it two or three years to soften. Best after 2024.

Black cherries, plums, Asian spices, and sandalwood notes all emerge from the 2019 Château Beaumont, a nicely concentrated, medium to full-bodied Haut-Médoc with good depth of fruit and juicy acidity. This château always makes a solid wine, and the 2019 is no exception.

The 2019 Beaumont has turned out very well, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet berry fruit, pencil shavings and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, with a fleshy core of fruit, lively acids and melting tannins, it's charming and nicely balanced. It's the finest wine from this large château that I can remember tasting.

The 2019 Beaumont is a powerful, burly Haut-Médoc. Black cherry, herb, licorice, tobacco and game all run through this potent wine. The 2019 is a bit rough around the edges, but it will do just fine at the dinner table. Expressive Cabernet Sauvignon accents build nicely into the finish.

The 2019 Beaumont, cropped at 50hL/ha, has a lovely, delineated bouquet of blackberry, briary and light tobacco notes. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, and not quite as supple as before, though I appreciate the tangy seaweed note toward the finish. Just what you want from a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur.

Casting a deep garnet-purple color, the 2019 Beaumont takes its time to reveal subtle notes of baked plums, blackcurrant pastilles and fruit cake with suggestions of damp soil, cardamom and fried herbs. The medium-bodied palate has a solid backbone of firm, chewy tannins and lively acidity supporting the black fruit preserves flavors, finishing with an herbal lift.

The 2019 Beaumont impresses on the nose with intense blackberry and briary aromas, sous-bois and tobacco, all whilst maintaining its delineation. The palate is supple and silky on the entry. There is well judged acidity, plenty of cedar and seaweed, tinged black fruit and a spicy finish. Now, this is a bloody great Beaumont.

A firm, silky red with currant, mushroom and chocolate character and some bark. It's full-bodied. Savory.
