Powered by dry botrytis, this is a wine with immense potential. It has weight, complexity and richness, all under the cloak of botrytis. To leaven the power, there is acidity, but this is certainly for aging.

The nose takes time to coalesce in the glass, very pure with honey, white peach, Turkish Delight honeysuckle, and beeswax. The palate is beautifully balanced, still with some oak to be subsumed, but has great depth and precision. This is a confident, almost ambitious Suduiraut with great power and intensity towards the botrytis-rich, viscous finish that is endowed with great persistency. Lovely. Drink now-2030.

Dried lemon and floral aromas lead to loads of botrytis spice and bitter lemon peel in this young, full-bodied sweetie, with hints of lively lime and honey. Medium sweet. Very intense. Best after 2014.

Mid gold. Complex, vegetal but interesting. Weight and ruffle of botrytis and stong orange peel note, proper stuff, great!!! Just a little bitter citrus peel at the end. Drink 2010-23

(90% semillon with 10% sauvignon blanc) Bright yellow-gold. Subdued but powerful nose offers fresh stone fruits, grapefruit zest, ginger and honey, all lifted by a floral topnote. Lush, thick and honeyed, but with superb acidity framing the flavors of mandarin orange, pineapple, honey and chalk. Finishes very long and subtle, with a saline nuance and terrific fruit penetration. A good bit of the estate's sauvignon blanc went into the dry S de Suduiraut in '07, noted managing director Christian Seely.

Pâle, puissant et équilibré en bouche, moins “rôti” et complexe que d’autres à ce stade, mais à l’inverse de Guiraud, l’échantillon est l’un des plus protégés par le SO2 de l’ensemble des crus.

Green gold. Muted, almost dry nose. Very sweet start though a little on the hot barley sugar side rather than wonderfully fine and nuanced. A bit sugary. Astringent finish but massive sugar levels even if not fine. Chewy end. Gone for bust! Not quite as fine at this stage as I have come to expect of this property.

Couleur jaune. Nez intense, fin, fruité, frais, épicé et botrytisé. Très belle entrée en bouche fondante. Le vin se développe fruité et minutieux dans son toucher, vif, fondant et aromatique. Corps dense et finement crèmeux. Très bonne finale. Vin délicieux et raffiné.
