A fine-tannined second wine with currants, blueberries and some crushed stone and cedar. Medium body with redcurrants and crushed stones. Chewy, yet polished. Spicy at the end, with black pepper and cloves. 60% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot and 15% cabernet franc.

The second wine of the château, the 2021 La Sirène De Giscours is loaded with red fruits and spice, tobacco, and graphite nuances. Medium-bodied and balanced on the palate, it's going to drink nicely right out of the gate.

The 2021 La Sirène de Giscours has more Cabernet Sauvignon than usual. The nose is very attractive, with blackberry, cranberry, cedar and graphite scents – plenty of energy here. The palate is medium-bodied with a light frame of tannins, crisp, crunchy red fruit and a touch of pepperiness on the finish. This is a commendable Deuxième Vin.

The 2021 La Sirène de Giscours is a pretty rich, dense second wine. Black cherry, leather, tobacco and deeply pitched spice notes lend notable presence. Rich, profound, layered and nuanced. The 2021 stands out for its strong aromatic presence, but it's also quite deep and elegant at the same time. The Cabernets are quite expressive in this tasting. The Sirène is a fabulous second wine. Tasted two times.

Assemblages réalisés. Quel nez magnifique, tant par sa profondeur que par son éclat aromatique. Fruits noirs frais "al dente", pivoine, lilas, iris, notes de cerise noire et de rose pour un ensemble harmonieux et délicat. Toucher de bouche subtil, frais et précis, cristallin avec des tanins très fins et surtout un éclat et une tension magnifique. Sûrement l'un des meilleurs rapports qualité/prix de Bordeaux. Pour moi, il est meilleur qu'en 2020. Bravo !

Aromas of blackberries, licorice and sweet forest floor introduce the 2021 La Sirène de Giscours, a medium to full-bodied, velvety and textural wine with a fleshy, gourmand profile, beautifully refined tannins and lively acids. Alexander Van Beek observes that vinifying smaller lots, parcel by parcel, means that the blending components available for La Sirène are more interesting—and the results certainly show in this challenging year.

Sultry red fruit on the nose, so beguiling and perfumed, really so sweet and bright. Smooth and satiny, you get the texture from the tannins but so svelte. The red cherry and blackcurrant fruit has density and chew with a deep and serious centre. Lovely mid-palate, liquorice elements are sweet and chewy alongside eucalyptus with soft toasted spiced edges of clove, cinnamon and cedar. Lovely character with definition and precision but this is a little closed and a bit serious and tight. The Haut-Médoc just outshining this at the moment in terms of approachability but this has the complexity and nuance to go the long haul.
