Aromas of sweet berries, chocolate, walnuts and wet earth follow through to a medium body with firm, chewy tannins and a long, polished finish. Not the biggest wine, but shows finesse and subtle character. Better after 2025.

Spiced black fruits, cedar pencil, flowers, and some new leather notes all emerge from the 2019 Château Saint-Pierre (Pomerol), a medium-bodied, elegant, seamless Pomerol. It shows the more streamlined, elegant style of the vintage, has terrific balance, and will keep for 15 years.

The 2019 Saint-Pierre (Pomerol) is super finessed. In 2019, Saint-Pierre has a bit more Cabernet Franc, plus some whole clusters, both of which add aromatic presence. Saint-Pierre is a bit closed today, but that won't be an issue in another few years' time.

Expressive on the nose, so aromatic. The palate is so delicious - dense and structured, powerful and muscular but so well packaged. Uber glamour here. Real depth of flavour with lingering spice from the liquorice and sweet cedar, some bitter dark chocolate, floral touches and even soft savoury truffle aspects too. I love it, chewy almost balancing intensity with freshness and just such clarity that you know it's been well worked. Buy and hold on to.

Deep purple-black in color, the 2019 Saint-Pierre (Pomerol) has pronounced notes of baked blackberries, cedar chest, prunes and mocha with nuances of mulberries, cinnamon stick and dusty soil. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is wearing a lot of cedar at the moment, lending a chewy texture to the baked black fruits, finishing a tad hard.

The 2019 Saint-Pierre (Pomerol), is striking in 2019. Deep and beautifully layered in the glass, the 2019 possesses superb balance and intensity. The edges could use a bit of polishing, but hopefully élevage will take care of that. As always, Saint-Pierre is a decidedly potent Pomerol. The 2019 is especially fine.

Licorice, chocolate, flowers, smoke and plums are what you find on the nose. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, silky, fresh, energetic and polished. Forward, with loads of sweet smoky cherries, plums and cocoa on the palate, give this elegant Pomerol a few years in the cellar before pulling a cork. 90-92 Pts

The nose is fruity, aromatic and offers gourmandize, precsion. It reveals notes of blueberry, small blue fruits, small notes of strawberry associated with touches of violet, cornflower, bourbon vanilla as well as fine hints of green cardamom, cuben pepper and caramelization. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, precision as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, wild blackberry, small wild fruits associated with a touch of wild raspberry as well as hints of cocoa,toasted/grilled cocoa and cardamom. Good length.

A great blast of Pomerol sexiness here, this is definitely one to look out for. Creamy, black fruits barrel through the palate, with a consistent grip from strat to finish that adds juice and even salty caramel on the finish. Highly recommended in the vintage. Drinking Window 2024-2040

Rouge grenat aux reflets violets. Bonne intensité du bouquet avec des notes de baies noires (cassis, mûres) et de menthe. Je relève également d’agréables nuances de chocolat noir. Caractère crémeux et charmant en bouche. Les tannins assurent l’ampleur et présentent un grain fin tandis que la structure confère de la race tout en soutenant l’aromatique. Un vin bien structuré qui parvient à créer la symbiose entre la race et l’ampleur. Finale fruitée et persistante. 2024-2039
