The 2023 Moulin de Duhart has quite a refined bouquet with pure blackberry and raspberry fruit, the oak seamlessly integrated. The palate has slightly grainy tannins on the entry. Quite sharp with a dash of cracked black pepper toward the finish. Give this just a year in bottle.

Mulberries, blackberries, cigar box, and cedar on the nose. The palate shows clean black currant flavors framed by precise, focused, fine-grained tannins. Fleshy yet balanced, with poise and a neat, composed finish. 55% merlot and 45% cabernet sauvignon. This is accessible with aeration, but will evolve nicely over the next decade.

The 2023 Moulin De Duhart is based on 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon brought up mostly in once-used barrels, 15% being new. It has a deep purple hue as well as terrific aromatics of red plums, currants, smoky tobacco, and spice, and it's medium-bodied, round, supple, and beautifully textured. The tannins are ripe and integrated, and this puppy will drink nicely right out of the gate.

Moulin de Duhart (Pauillac; 55% Merlot; 45% Cabernet Sauvignon). Plump. Succulent, though there’s a little dip in the mid-palate –  even if it starts to fill in with a little aeration. Blueberries and black currant. Fresh, juicy and sapid. A nice fluidity. Energetic. Easy and very accessible. A lovely harmony. A little herbaceous on the finish.

Spicy, red berries, wet earth, and tobacco form the nucleus here in the nose, and in the medium-bodied palate. Forward, soft, and fresh, you can enjoy this with pleasure on release, and for up to a decade. The wine blends 55% Merlot with 45% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2026-2035. 88-90 Pts.

Medium intensity ruby red colour, a touch lighter than the main estate wine both in colour and density, and this is generous in its fruit character, with higher Cabernet Sauvignon than the last few years, giving a savoury, sappy quality, and just a ton of beautifully accessible Pauillac character. Hard to beat as an entry to the Lafite stable, and extremely easy to recommend - you'll find austerity for sure, but it's full of charm. Duhart new wine tourism areas are newly opened since Spring 2023, but the new cellar as been in operation since 2021.

The Merlot-based 2023 Moulin de Duhart is a charmer. Succulent, juicy and bold, the 2023 will be absolutely delicious to drink on release. There's a bit more Cabernet Sauvignon in this year's blend, which adds aromatic nuance to play off the natural exuberance of the fruit. Hints of pipe tobacco, spice, new leather, cedar and mint linger on the long, vibrant finish. This is impeccably done. The blend is 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon.

The 2023 Moulin de Duhart presents a lucid dark purple hue. The nose is quite concentrated and pure: dark cherries mixed with blueberry fruit, developing floral scents with aeration. The aromatics are shaped by the 55% Merlot, higher than usual. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannins, quite spicy with blood-orange-infused black fruit. It closes with a high-toned finish that should calm down during barrel-maturation.

The 2023 Moulin de Duhart is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of ripe black plums and fresh blackberries jump from the glass, leading to hints of anise, tar, and tapenade. The medium-bodied palate is soft, plush, and juicy, with lovely black-fruited expression and a peppery kick to the finish. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot - a bit more Cabernet than usual, as some of the young Merlots didn't make it into the blend.

Offering up aromas of cassis, violets, black tea and pipe tobacco, the 2023 Moulin de Duhart is medium-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a sweet core of fruit, melting tannins and a charming, polished profile. It's a blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon that will offer pleasure-bent drinking on release.

Plenty of blackcurrant, dark-chocolate and cedar character with medium to full body, creamy tannins and a juicy finish. Round and delicious. A blend of 55% merlot and 45% cabernet sauvignon.
