Le Point 15,5 / 20 par Jacques Dupont le 21/05/2015 Fruits noirs, cerise cuite, bouche bien fraîche, tanins soyeux, long, droit, belle texture délicate.
Vinous 86-89 / 100 par Antonio Galloni le 11/05/2015 The 2014 Citran is a bit burly and rough around the edges, but it nevertheless possesses plenty of personality. Dark red stone fruits, herbs, smoke and tobacco add nuance on the firm, hearty finish in a mid-weight wine to drink over the near and medium term.
Wine Advocate 89-91 / 100 par Neal Martin le 30/04/2015 The Château Citran 2014 has a fresh nose: blackberry and melted tar, hints of tobacco surfacing with time, almost Pauillac in style. The palate offers good weight in the mouth with grippy black fruit infused with pencil lead. There is a slightly foursquare nature to this Citran, but there is impressive length here and I fancy that it will be another fine Haut-Médoc to seek out when release. Hopefully this will represent great value.
Jancis Robinson 16,5 / 20 par Jancis Robinson le 21/04/2015 Rather subtle and mineral on the nose. Sweet and juicy. But this finishes with some real sinew and interest. Light tannins. Very fresh and convincing medium-weight Haut-Médoc with the acidity only just within reasonable limits. Drink 2020-2028
Asian Palate 88 / 100 par Jeannie Cho Lee MW le 20/04/2015 Juicy red currant and plum in this vintage with supple tannins. This is delicious and approachable now with flavors that will integrate and become more harmonious with a few more years in bottle. Well made and a great value at only around 12 euros per bottle.
Decanter.com 15,25 / 20 par Steven Spurrier le 17/04/2015 Quite dense blackcurrant fruit that flows onto the palate to meet firm tannins. Good straightforward Médoc. Drink: 2018-2024 (85+)
Jamessuckling.com 90-91 / 100 par James Suckling le 10/04/2015 A red with excellent length and richness. Full body, juicy fruit and a balanced finish. Best in a long time.
Wine Enthusiast 90 / 100 par Roger Voss le 01/04/2015 89–91. Barrel Sample. This wine is dry and seems extracted with dark roasted notes of coffee. It is tough with a dense texture that favors tannins rather than fruit. The hint of fruit comes at the end with an acidic pop. — R.V. (4/1/2015)
