The 2021 Lynch-Moussas is a terrific surprise, especially as I missed it en primeur. Dynamic, bold and full of energy, the 2021 is super-complex right out of the gate. Wild red cherry, spice, white pepper, gravel, mint and rose petal are some of the notes the race from the glass. I especially admire the wine's energy. This is impeccably rendered.

The fragrances of cedar and ashtray of Lynch-Moussas 2021 are rich and profound, showcasing a classic Pauillac from the inside out. The toasted note amalgamates well with the aromas of mulberry and dried plum, accompanied by the silky tannins that wander on the taste buds. Although the finish is a bit plain, the overall palate is still impressive. For consumers who are looking for valuable wines among the Grands Crus Classés, Lynch-Moussas 2021 is one of the best choices. Cigar box, herbs, tobacco leaf, cedar, and red currants are already on display on the nose. Medium-bodied, fresh, soft and polished, with a sweet edge to the juicy currants on the mid-palate and in the spicy, espresso-tinted, red berry finish. Give it a few years in the cellar before pulling a cork. The wine blends 72% Cabernet Sauvignon with 28% Merlot. 14% ABV. Drink from 2026-2045. 91-93

The 2021 Lynch-Moussas has a lovely bouquet with blackberry, raspberry and cedar scents, a touch of wild mint emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with quite "thick" tannins that lend this Pauillac surprising weight in context of the vintage. Quite rounded on the finish with a touch of pain grillé on the aftertaste.

Im Gaumen zugänglich, anfangs fast harmlos, baut dann einen schönen Druck auf, zeigt eine knackige Frucht und feine Tannine. Im Abgang von mittlerer Länge und mit Cassis im Rückaroma.
