Nuancen von Malz, Schokolade und dunklen Beeren im Bouquet von Lanessan. Der Wein ist von mittlerer Dichte, linear, saftig und mit bestens eingebundenen Tanninen versehen, die das Rückgrat bilden. Nach und nach gewinnt der Wein ein wenig an Breite. Ein eleganter, schmackhafter Lanessan.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 Lanessan slowly emerges from the glass with soft-spoken notes of fresh plums and mulberries followed by hints of Provence herbs, lavender, and tobacco leaf. The medium-bodied palate is delicately played and verges on lean, offering lightly chewy tannins and refreshing acidity, finishing on a mineral note.

Espresso, black currants, licorice, tobacco, and herbs are all over the place here. Forward, chewy, lifted, and fresh, the fruits are bright, sweet, and chewy, with a savory, tobacco, and blackberry finish. Drink from 2027-2045. 90-92 Pts.

Bought by Treasury Wine Estates in October 2022, so this is their first full vintage. this has a savoury feel of dark fruits, a little restrained on the finish with good juice; i feel like here you want a Medoc, you are getting a Medoc, a good sense of understanding what the appellation means and shoudl deliver. They have done a good job here and it is one to look out for. Slate, cassis, crushed rocks. Eric Boissenot consultant.

The 2023 Lanessan is a bit diffuse and demonstrates some greenness on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and good weight. This is actually better in the mouth, with gentle grip and a welcome spiciness on the finish. It's just the aromatics that are left wanting based on the barrel sample. It may improve by the time it is in bottle.

Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, brightening on the edge. Black cherry fruit, hints of blackberries, fresh orange zest. Medium body, red berries, freshly structured, currants and limes in the finish, a lively food wine.

A nicely polished red with redcurrant, blackcurrant and forest-floor character. Medium body with integrated, fine tannins and a reserved, fruity finish. Better than 2022?
