Wine Advocate 86 / 100 par Robert Parker le 02/05/2014 The second wine, the 2011 Echo de Lynch Bages displays an impressively saturated ruby/purple color along with a narrow framework and breadth of flavor in the mouth, but attractive black cherry and spice characteristics. Medium-bodied and pleasant, it is best drunk over the next 7-8 years.
Jamessuckling.com 90 / 100 par James Suckling le 19/02/2014 A wine with smoke and berry character, and ultra-polished tannins. Full body, fine tannins and a fresh finish. Very tannic. Should soften by 2019.
Wine Spectator 90 / 100 par James Molesworth le 11/02/2014 Features an iron spine that keeps the plum sauce, blackberry and currant fruit in check, with flickers of tobacco and charcoal on the finish. Best from 2015 through 2021.
O= 2015 G= 10 ans
The Wine Cellar Insider 84-87 / 100 par Jeff Leve le 27/04/2012 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc make up the blend. Coffee, blackberry and cassis with a fresh, slightly green, drying finish. 84-87 Pts
Wine Advocate 86-88 / 100 par Neal Martin le 27/04/2012 The Echo de Lynch Bages has the highest Merlot ever at 41% of the blend as the yields were higher and as Jean-Charles said, it just ended up that way. It has a precocious nose with espresso-tinged black fruit with a hint of brine that become more prominent with aeration. The palate is well balanced with rather brusque, chalky tannins. Very linear at the moment with a citric thread of acidity towards the finish. Fine. Tasted April 2012
Wine Spectator 90-93 / 100 par James Molesworth le 10/04/2012 Very ripe and pure, with beautiful, caressing cassis and succulent plum flavors gliding over well-embedded structure. The long, iron-tinged finish is youthfully pure and very refined.—J.M.
Jamessuckling.com 88-89 / 100 par James Suckling le 01/04/2012 Shows mineral and cassis character with hints of mint. Medium to full body, with fine tannins and a fresh finish. A little hollow in the mid-palate. Second wine of Lynch.
