The 2022 Château Malartic-Lagravière Le Comte De Malartic is based on 91% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon raised in 30% new French oak. It's a forward, charming, classic second wine with textbook Graves notes of ripe red and black fruits, smoky tobacco, and loamy earth. It's medium to full-bodied, round, supple, and undeniably delicious, with a solid mid-palate depth, balance, and length.

Clean and crisp, a lovely creamy, cool minty freshness with blackcurrants, this feels really well controlled, not shouting too much but confident and really quite enjoyable. Charming and full, compact still but also generous and well worked. An impressive second wine with fruit, acidity and juiciness while still keeping the precision and detail. Lovely! Easy to recommend.

The 2022 Le Comte de Malartic is matured in 30% new oak. It has a juicy nose with blackcurrant and raspberry scents, pastille-like. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannins, liquorice infused red fruit with brown spices on the finish. 13.9% alcohol.

This is easy to enjoy, has plenty of vintage character in its spice and grilled cloves, but well handled, supple with a creamy texture, ripe without going too far. Not easy in 2022 for the 2nd wines of whites to achieve this success. 25% new oak. The Bonnie family owners, harvest August 24 to September 1.

La dominance du Merlot est évidente. Pas seulement sur le papier, avec 91,5%, mais d'un point de vue olfactif. Le bouquet est gourmand... et frais ! L'attaque maintient le cap vers le charme, mais la structure tannique ne se laisse pas impressionner et met une argumentation convaincante en avant qui confère de la dimension à ce vin. Un Pessac-Léognan invitant et prometteur !

This is delicious already with blackberry, cherry and orange peel aromas and flavors. Medium to full body. Fine velvety tannins. Yummy. 91.5% merlot, 6% cabernet sauvignon and 2.5% petit verdot.
