A blend of 46% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, the Mauvesin-Barton has a slightly reticent nose at first but opens with aeration, with light scents of brambly black fruit and cedar. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe fruit, crushed strawberry and a light saline finish.
