Vinous

The 2016 Larrivet-Haut-Brion Blanc is a powerful wine endowed with striking textural depth and nuance. Fermentation in a combination of oak, cement and concrete egg, along with the personality of the vintage, results in an ample, creamy white. The citrus, slate and green pear flavors are bright and nicely focused, but it is the wine's energy that stands out most. The blend is 80% Sauvignon and 20% Sémillon. Stéphane Derenoncourt and Frédéric Massie consult. Tasted two times.
