Wine Advocate

I appear to have underrated this wine last year when it was revealing a sinewy character as well as dry tannin. The mid-palate has filled out, the tannin is sweeter, and the wine is a muscular, concentrated, full-bodied, brawny effort with an inky purple color, and abundant aromas of toasty new oak intertwined with jammy black currant fruit. Intense, long, but requiring cellaring, it could turn out to be outstanding. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2020.
