Vinous 88 / 100 par Antonio Galloni le 31/01/2016 The 2012 Fonroque is an attractive wine that is best enjoyed over the next few years. Expressive aromatics add lift to the dark red cherry, iron, smoke, tobacco and cedar nuances. Although not especially complex, the 2012 offers good depth and persistence, along with plenty of near term appeal. The blend is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.
Wine Advocate 90 / 100 par Robert Parker le 30/04/2015 From proprietor Alain Moueix, this biodynamically farmed vineyard has produced a wine that’s a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. An outstanding effort from Moueix, the wine offers up loads of black cherries, blackcurrants, subtle loamy, earthy undertones, medium to full-bodied texture, sweet tannin and a long finish. This is a very strong effort from that should drink nicely for 15 or more years.
Jamessuckling.com 88 / 100 par James Suckling le 15/02/2015 A minerally red with blueberry, blackberry and walnut-shell character. Medium body, light tannins and a fresh finish. Lacks a bit of fruit concentration but it is attractive. From organic grapes. Better in 2016.
Wine Spectator 89 / 100 par James Molesworth le 01/01/2015 Features base notes of ganache, draped with dark plum and blackberry fruit. The finish has a good spine, with a graphite edge that lets the fruit linger. A tobacco hint hangs in the background. Drink now through 2020. 5,165 cases made.

Wine Advocate 90-92 / 100 par Neal Martin le 06/05/2013 Alain Moueix has made a very appealing Fonroque. The nose is modern in style with high toned kirsch, fig and strawberry notes that are inviting. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of piquancy on the entry. There is brightness and clarity to this feminine Fonroque that is probably going to offer more pleasure in its youth that later on. Tasted April 2013.
