Periodic Review of Wine

Very few wines can become the essence of purity, finesse, and beauty. But, that is what this remarkable, saturated ruby colored 2009 is. Liquefied-mineral aromatics are intermixed with crushed-limestone, plum, cherry liqueur, cassis, and pain grillé. This is followed by an extravagant fruit, a full-body, density, and an intense palate. There is a profound richness in a scrumptious style joined by a crammed imression, and sensational purity to the fruit. This big Pomerol is one of several well-endowed, concentrated wines produced in this massive vintage for Bordeaux. I cant get enough of the impeccable gobs of ripe fruit. Thrilling! Maturity period 2017-2042.
